TASKS The Project Management Support Consultant will provide support to the EPSSG Ground Segment Manager and team for management related aspects. The key person shall report to the EPSSG Ground Segment Manager, who is responsible for the ground segment project and for the daytoday assignment of the Consultants activities. The tasks of the Project Management Support Consultant will typically include but not necessarily be limited to the following Participate in team management meetings and in meetings with partner agencies, contractors, internal stakeholders, etc. as appropriate Track progress against agreed development plans and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with proposals to reduce the impact of any delays Track actions and risks, analysing and reporting critical issues to the Project Manager, and support the close out of such actions and risk mitigation activities Prepare minutes of meetings and correspondence to industry andor EUMETSAT partners Contribute to the preparation and execution of the Project Reviews from a management standpoint Contribute to maintaining the project schedule in coordination with EPSSG team members, perform a critical path analysis of the schedule In coordination with the EPSSG Project Control Team, support the Project Manager and team in maintaining project documents such as the Project Management Plan, Product Tree, Team Organisation Chart, Work Breakdown Structure WBS and related documents Prepare presentations and synthetic progress reports for internal e.g. report to senior management and external purposes Follow up subsystem development activities monitor deliverables to and from EUMETSATs partner agencies and industry, and support the review of deliverables. Support the control of the baseline definition of the ground segment including evaluation of Change Requests, Change Proposals, and Requests for Waiver Deviation, etc. Support on a case by case basis the other Programmes within the LEO Division in Project management support activities.

The Mechanical Project Engineer MPE also sometimes called Responsible Mechanical Engineer is a projectspecific role. The MPE works in close cooperation with the Antenna Project Manager and the Project RF Radio Frequency engineer, to coordinate the overall design process of an antenna product or project. The MPE is responsible for coordinating the activities of the mechanical design subteam, to ensure that the product meets the customer specification, whilst also ensuring that the design definition is transferred into manufacture in time to meet the overall project schedule. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. The role is a broad based technical engineering role which includes generating design concepts, liaison with specialist engineers within the team, performing technical tradeoffs, and leading the decision making processes. It also includes technical problem solving, liaison with suppliers and subcontractors and representing the Antenna Group in presenting the designs to internal and external customers at formal design reviews. For this vacancy, we are looking for either An Engineer with experience of Coordinating a multidisciplined Design team or An Engineer with some experience of Structure Design andor analysis who is interested in growing into the role as described. DUTIES Under the responsibility of the FLPP Technology Project Manager, the Technology Project Engineer will contribute to the identification and selection of a wide range of cuttingedge technologies for future launchers, mainly pertaining to electricalelectromechanical systems, avionics, navigation and control. The postholder will then implement and mature these technologies. More specifically, duties will include assessing the needs and potential of new technologies for launch vehicles LVs developing technical consolidation and programmatic buildup to TRL 6 and IRL 3 for the identified technologies drafting the statements of work related to the relevant FLPP technology activities, with internal support and technical assistance, and supporting the subsequent bidding process organising the relevant proposal evaluation and supporting negotiation of the contracts with industry managing the relevant contracted activities, including deliverable assessment and timely delivery of technological developments supporting FLPPwide technology activities, especially for the development of synergies between technology activities and demonstrators or LV developments supporting the drafting of programmatic documents, such as roadmaps, work plans, procurement proposals and programme proposals relevant to the activity ensuring appropriate support to the FLPP Technology Project Manager, to whom the incumbent will report. The Technology Project Engineer will be assisted by project control staff and supported by engineers from the Technical and Quality Management Directorate and from national organisations under the FLPP Technical Assistance scheme. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants for this post should have a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering field, together with a technical background in avionics, mechatronics or system engineering, along with some experience of industry and a good knowledge of the European space transportation industry. Candidates should be familiar with electricalelectromechanical systems, avionics, onboard flight computers, GNC systems, and mission and vehicle management systems. Organisational skills, team spirit and the ability to work autonomously in an international environment are assets. The working languages of the Agency are English and French.
