The West Virginia Public Service Commission is holding public hearings on a request by Appalachian Power and Wheeling Power to raise electric rates. Officials say regulators have scheduled ten hearings beginning this week in Bradshaw.

PSC: Kentucky Utilities not at fault in deadly Ice Bucket Challenge

The Kentucky Public Service Commission found no safety violations on the part of Kentucky Utilities in an August 21 accident that killed one Campbellsville firefighter and injured three others. Two of the firefighters, who were in an aerial truck bucket that came into direct contact with a transmission line, suffered severe burns.
