Standards Alliance, ANSI's public-private partnership with U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has been expanded to allow ANSI to engage with 5 additional countries in sub-Saharan Africa: Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mozambique, Senegal, and Zambia. Partnership expansion provides technical assistance to developing countries specifically related to implementation of the WTO Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Agreement. Expansion was made possible through Trade Africa initiative.

Carriers launch Go Ignite start-up alliance brand

(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Singtel and Telefonica have launched the Go Ignite brand for the start-up ecosystem alliance they formed in September 2015. The new brand announced at Mobile World Congress brings together the four operators' innovation divisions, hub:raum, Orange Fab, Singtel Innov8 and Telefonica Open Future. Go Ignite has also launched its first global call for start-ups to enter their projects into one of the following five categories: IoT, cyber security, big data analytics, content delivery, and customer experience enhancement.
