One year after announcing its intent to form an Internet of Things business unit, Intel Corp. this week held a debut to highlight the alliances it has formed to capitalize on a world where more and more devices are connected to the Web. If all goes to plan, Santa Clara-based Intel should see a significant boost in sales for the next few years as objects embedded with semiconductors proliferate, Mike Bell , vice president and general manager of new devices for Intel, said Dec. 9 at a conference in San Francisco.
