For our activities in ESOC, we are currently looking for a Communication Officer in the Communication Office ESOCEAC. Tasks and Responsibilities Under the authority of the Head of the ESOC EAC Communication Office in Darmstadt, you will perform following tasks classical media requests and media interview coordination, esp. out of ESOC coordinate, write or publish web articles in German for www.esa.de and CH, AT rewrite or translate contents for the ESA web portal, especially the pages in German support or coordinate press briefings and PRrelated workshops, esp. in local settings contribute to senior visits European satellite mission launch events at ESOC work on thematic exhibitions, trade fairs or follow up on institutional requests in Germany enter update contacts or perform targeted mailings in a central PR contacts database work occasionally with the PR team of the European Astronaut Centre in Cologne coordinate or review highend Germanlanguage print publications on ESA monitor and analyse trends of modern media communications environments. Requirements You should hold a masters or equivalent university degree in one or more of the below areas Communications PR Management Journalism Linguistics European Affairs Political Science Business Administration Management. Furthermore you should have 3 years of work experience in the media communications sector, including international hightech settings and should be able to carry out independent and authoritative analysis of a given situation political, economic, cultural in order to write summaries for the preparation of PR events or media partnerships. Fully fluentnative German and fluent English are a prerequisite knowledge of French would be a strong advantage.
