Telecom Italia adds Amazon Prime Video to TIM Box decoder

(Telecompaper) Telecom Italia (TIM) has announced an agreement with Amazon to offer the e-commerce giant's Prime Video catalogue of movies and TV series via the TIM Box decoder. Under the terms of the deal Prime Video will be available to all TIMvision customers already subscribed to Amazon Prime, who will be able to search for Prime Original productions using the decoder's "search and recommendations" options.

(Telecompaper) Telecom Italia (TIM) announced that its board of directors appointed Luigi Gubitosi as chief executive in a meeting held a few days after Amos Genish was relieved of his duties. However, Genish, who remains on TIM's board, immediately announced that he's seeking investor support to call an extraordinary shareholder meeting to contest changes in the company's direction.

(Telecompaper) Telecom Italia (TIM) has announced that its chief executive Amos Genish has been relieved of his powers following a majority vote of its board of directors. The company's chairman Fulvio Conti will take over on an interim basis and has been granted a mandate to "resolve further obligations in relation to the existing working relationship with Genish". A further board meeting has been called for 18 November to appoint a new CEO, said TIM in a short statement that provided no explanation for Genish's departure other than thanking him for the work done "in 14 months of intense activity".
