Following Tuesday night's brief Phillipsburg Town Council meeting, held outdoors at Shappell Park during National Night Out festivities, Mayor Harry Wyant told 69News a meeting between Medford, N.J.-based developer Opus Investment Group LLC, Lopatong Township and Phillipsburg officials took place July 31. Approval of a conditional redevelopment agreement is scheduled before the legislative body during that Wednesday night meeting, according to council's agenda. The Town of Phillipsburg owns the larger portion of the 300-acre site that rests in the two municipalities.
