Pittsfield Big Y convenience store nearly complete; hiring underway

Construction crews work Thursday on the Big Y Express that will open soon next to the Big Y supermarket in Pittsfield. Big Y Foods has started hiring 12 part-time employees to staff the store, and expects it will take another six to eight weeks for them to complete training and for the store to open its doors to the public.
