Certification Engineer for Space Programmes

Position Reference 713 We are currently looking for Certification Engineer to work in the beautiful city of Toulouse to follow and support the Space Programmes managed by the EU. The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for operations, service provision, security and market development for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. By creating a new generation of GNSS, Europe is laying the foundation for the development of new hightech industry, leading to job creation and economic growth. These flagship European space programmes, which embody what can be achieved when Europe works together, are already bringing real benefits to people and business in Europe and around the world. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Monitor and control system certification related activities in support of the European space programme Service Providers. Ensure the continued compliance of the EGNOS SafetyofLife SoL service provision to the established certification regulatory requirements. Elaborate and maintain certification requirements applicable to the service and system evolutions, and verifying their implementation within the system design, development and operationsservice provision phases. Maintain the current aviation certification framework for the delivery of the EGNOS SoL services and developing new frameworks where necessary for other users. Liaise with the stakeholders contributing to provision of the EGNOS SoL Service in particular the EGNOS service provider, EASA, ESA, EC. Support the safety manager for any topics related to the continued safety of the services wherever applicable. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters Degree in Aerospace, Engineering or a relevant technical domain. A minimum of 5 years of experience working performing the above tasks mentioned. Knowledge andor experience of space system engineering. Experience with international standardisation processes and institutions. Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Organised, dynamic and proactive. Security clearance EU Secret will be necessary, therefore only nationals of the EU countries will be considered for this role. Ability to travel on missions when needed to other locations. The following skills and experience are advantageous Experience and background in GNSS programmes. Experience in complex projects andor subcontractor management. It also provides key resources including proposal managers to major proposals for implementation PhaseB2CD projects. A key position is available for a proposalstudy manager to work in this team managing high profile proposal and study activities in the defence and security perimeter. The ProposalStudy Manager will coordinate and produce the proposals Invitation to tender ITT response and manage studies and technology development activities. Tasks accountabilities Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposalsstudy data packs within customer defined timeframes Management of the proposalstudy teams Generating new defence and security mission concepts. Development of mission and spacecraft design and assessment of system performance. Delivery of proposalsstudies within agreed budgets Coordination of standard company proposalstudy reviews Interface with a variety of stakeholders, including senior ENS management, sales and marketing, engineering teams, cost engineering, finance, and commercial.
