Greenfield Avenue will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad railroad tracks at about 67th Street in West Allis Monday through Thursday, Oct. 19 - 22. The railroad tracks need urgent repair and the Wisconsin Commissioner of Railroads has ordered the Union Pacific to fix them before Oct. 31. Advance message signs are to be put into place Friday. Detour signs should be in place by Sunday, Oct. 18. We welcome reader discussion but strive to keep things civil.
