But according to a new survey of 2,300 travelers from FlightView, a provider of airline and airport data, travelers are increasingly wary of booking trips to their desired destination that involve connecting flights. Both Chicago-based United and Fort Worth-based American operate major hub and spoke operations at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport that involve flying thousands of passengers from their departure city to their final destination, usually by connecting to a different flight through O'Hare.

Airline customers - including two Coloradans - filed a lawsuit in Dallas today against four major airlines, citing antitrust law violations and airfare inflation. United Airlines and Southwest Airlines - the two biggest carriers operating at Denver International Airport - along with American Airlines and Delta Air Lines are named in the suits, which accuse the carriers of limiting airplane capacity to increase prices.
