Connecticut lawmakers are considering numerous bills that would place limits on fixed residential charges imposed by the state's largest electric utilities. The General Assembly's Energy and Technology Committee was scheduled Tuesday to hear testimony on proposals to cap or eliminate the charge.

Employees at Tesla's gallery at NorthPark Center in Dallas aren't allowed to talk price or take customers for test drives because of dealer franchise laws. Bills filed by Texas lawmakers Thursday, if passed, would allow Tesla Motors Inc. to sell its electric cars directly to consumers.

Hawaii Senate panel takes up pesticide bills
