The raw material costs of polyester fiber producers have continued to decline in Asia. The rise of PTA and MEG capacities could, however, result in lower operating rates in the fourth quarter of the year. Polyester intermediate prices have moved into different directions in the last seven days, on the international market and on China's domestic market. The fall of PTA prices in the last weeks has left polyester producers with larger margins, whereas the rise of MEG prices could, however, result in new options at staple fiber and filament plants. Kering commits to full carbon neutrality across the supply chain
