Pleasanton: Thieves caught on video after Abercrombie and Fitch heist

Police are asking the public for help in locating two thieves who attacked an Abercrombie and Fitch employee after she caught them stealing more than $1,700 in merchandise from the Stoneridge Mall store. Officers were dispatched at 11:20 a.m. on March 15 to the mall for a report of a theft involving two men, said Detective Brandon Stocking.

A man and a woman are scheduled to be arraigned today on charges that they stole baby formula from a Pleasanton grocery store and then led police on a high-speed chase. Pleasanton police said officers who were patrolling the parking lot at the Safeway store at 6790 Bernal Ave. early Wednesday spotted a man later identified as 21-year-old Demarko Luke, of Oakland, running out of the store carrying two baskets of Enfamil baby formula.

A couple suspected of stealing baby formula from a grocery store and leading police on a high-speed vehicle chase along Interstate 680 Wednesday morning were arrested after nearly crashing the car and being nabbed by a police dog, police said. Officers were patrolling the Bernal Safeway parking lot at 6790 Bernal Ave. when a man, later identified as Demarko Luke of Oakland, ran from the store carrying two baskets of Enfamil baby formula.
