The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. will revive the Davao Investment Conference after a two-year hiatus since 2012, the Chamber's president said Friday. DCCCII president Antonio Dela Cruz told reporters that the re-staging of Davao iCon on November 4 to 6, 2015 will attract 300 to 500 participants from all over the country.

10,000 visitors eyed in 17th Davao Trade Expo

Some 10,000 visitors are expected to join the 17th Davao Trade Expo which will champion the livestock industry in the Davao Region, an executive of Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry said. This year's trade expo, dubbed as "Building Local Products for the Global Community", will be held at the SMX Convention Center Davao at the SM Lanang Premier on September 25 to 27. Jonathan Suy, co-chairperson of the 17th DATE, speaking in Monday's Kapehan sa Dabaw at SM City, said 80 percent ofmthe 170 booths are already filled up with exhibitors who will showcase various products and technology in the region.

5 groups submit documents for Davao port project

Five groups have expressed interest in the P19 billion project to modernize the Davao Sasa port, the Public-Private Partnership Center said. The groups that submitted pre-qualification documents on Wednesday are International Container Terminal Services Inc. ; San Miguel Corp.-APM Terminals consortium; Bollore; Portek International; and, Asian Terminals Inc.-DP World consortium.

6 firms interested to build new Davao Sasa port

SIX local and foreign firms have expressed interest to construct a modern Davao Sasa Port, the Department of Transportation and Communications said Tuesday. The companies that purchased the bid documents include Anflocor, Netherlands-based global operator APMT, Asian Terminals Inc., French conglomerate Bollore, Singapore-based Portek and San Miguel Corporation.
