A vacancy for an AIT Production Controller has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Portsmouth The successful candidate will join the AIT team looking after the manufacture of satellite payloads and will be responsible for Managing the Project Manufacturing Plans within SAP Primavera P6 for AIT Projects maintaining accurate SAP Master Data including leadtimes attrition Makebuy Bill of Materials. He will play a major role in Production support work stream improvements with the identification and Facilitation of interdepartmental cost saving initiatives, concentrating on the full supply chain process including business systems Tools. He will plan the production on a short or medium term horizon, take into account all the production events and smooth the production plan accordingly. Continuously analyse the information and solve the potential problems MRP exception messages, shortages , improve the production parameters if necessary, to lead to the completion of the work orders at the required date and quantity to meet the business and project requirements This role is a fast pace role with a lot of challenges that will provide interesting career opportunities and high possibilities of career development within the group. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Tasks Maintain Project visibility, communication and reporting while attending weekly Project meetings as required Accountability for the Projects forward Backward Pass across projects wrt component order leadtime and BOM maturity vs. the Project Schedule Track Unplanned work against Production Control Work Packages supported by AIT Project Management Generate Project Production Go Meeting shortage reports, add input and attend the weekly meetings as a process stakeholder Ensure Company and departmental standards and procedures are followed Ensure topicality of the customer order within SAP is maintained in line with current P6 schedule across AIT Projects Ensure that Company manufactured parts are released to the relevant Manufacturing facility in time to meet the planned delivery dates Input and maintain planning data required by the Business System. Monitor and align the Material Requirement Plan MRPto the overall Production Plan Kit release dates Authorize MRP requisitions up to a value of 50k Give recommendations to the production management in order to build shortmid term planning based on MRP results Follow production plan execution MRP parameters monitoring, MRP calculation results analysis, Planned Orders conversion, Work Orders release and closure Build updates and analyses KPIs measuring production execution Define the improvement plan and associated actions. Make allocation decisions when competing needs for material Project A v Project B Coordinate the various actors involved in the production activityfrom suppliers to customers Builds a feasible planning agreed by all stakeholders and ensures the followup Schedule adherence Manage the end2end kitting process from scheduling, WO, flight store coordination delivery to clean room. ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS Demonstrated working Knowledge of MRPERP systems Demonstrated experience in SAP Demonstrated Knowledge of Scheduling and Planning in a complex manufacturing environment Critical Path analysis and schedule control Planning, organisation and prioritisation Clear concise communication at all levels Customer relationship management Problem solving Team Player DESIRABLE REQUIRMENTS Knowledge of P6 Previous background in telecommunications space industry Previous experience background in Supply Chain Inventory, Bill Of Materials, Warehouse management Understanding of Kanban Understanding of Business Systems To apply click here
