U.S. marshals say a 48-year-old fugitive sought in Honolulu in a home contractor theft case has been arrested in Las Vegas. The marshal service identified Alexander Nebre as a "most wanted" fugitive in Hawaii, and said he was arrested Tuesday on felony warrants issued after he failed to appear for a Jan. 15 trial readiness hearing in Honolulu.

The north Strip site formerly home to the Stardust casino, then the scrapped Echelon project, is set to start coming to life again in less than two months when Resorts World Las Vegas finally breaks ground. Michael Levoff, a spokesman for the Resorts World parent company, confirmed via email that the project would break ground May 5, more than two years after it was first announced .

ViaWest Accused of Misleading Customers in Las Vegas

ViaWest , the Shaw Communications-owned data center service provider, is being accused of misleading customers about reliability of its Las Vegas data center. Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt's office has asked the company to address the accusations in a letter, a copy of which Data Center Knowledge has obtained.

A Las Vegas Valley Water District spokesman told the Las Vegas Sun that a contractor working on a construction project struck the pipeline Wednesday morning. The agency says nearby resorts and commercial properties including the MGM Grand and Monte Carlo both owned by MGM Resorts would get their water from another water line.
