ASTM International Board of Directors welcomes James Tann.

James A. Tann, director of technical services for Belden Brick Co. (Canton, OH), has been elected to ASTM International board of directors for 3-year term. ASTM fellow, Award of Merit recipient, and member since 1988, Tann has concentrated on design of brick masonry structures as well as building codes and standards. He serves as member-at-large on executive subcommittees of Committees C12 on Mortars and Grouts for Unit Masonry and C15 on Manufactured Masonry Units.

ASTM International was awarded Accredited Provider status by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. IACET Accredited Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units. To achieve status, ASTM completed rigorous application process, including review by IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard addressing design, development, administration, and evaluation of its programs.

ASTM International announces leadership succession plan.

ASTM International's future leadership was decided at October meetings of ASTM board of directors in Seoul, South Korea. Katharine E. Morgan, current ASTM vice president of technical committee operations, will succeed ASTM president James A. Thomas. To ensure smooth transition for ASTM members and customers, Morgan will assume ASTM executive vice president position on March 1, 2015 and work closely with Jim Thomas until his retirement on February 1, 2017.
