Manton likely to drain Lake Billings over winter to kill weeds

Muck and overgrown weeds have become a problem on Lake Billings in Manton, so officials are considering a solution that would involve draining the body of water for several months. Manton Department of Public Works Supervisor Kris Musselman said the Department of Environmental Quality suggested the plan to drain the lake for the duration of next winter.
