According to Leslie Hollar, fire chief of the Edinburg Volunteer Fire, they received the call about the fire from a neighbor of the Neff family at 3:03 p.m. Crews from Edinburg arrived at the scene by 3:11 p.m. Most of the interior damage, according to Hollar, was done to the middle bedroom. Hollar said the fire burned a 6-foot by 10-foot hole in the middle of the room.
