Vitrociset Belgium is looking for a candidate with the profile described below to deploy in ESTEC Please submit applications not later than 190813 by EMAIL to Mr. Massimiliano Mazza, Head of Engineering Operations Services M.Mazzavitrocisetbelgium.com cc. jobsvitrocisetbelgium.com Job Overview Support to the ESA Ariane 5 Exploitation Product Assurance Surveillance Manager for designated projects in conducting, monitoring and assessing the implementation of the PA Safety Programme as such being notably a responsible for PA Safety support for Ariane 5 Operational Launch System Project OLS, Launchers Ground Segment Project GS, with occasional support to Future Mission Project. Verifying that the PAS requirements are taken into account by OLS, GS projects. In support to OLS GS Project managers, and in close relationships with the PAM other PA officer coordinating with the related CNESDLA PA Ssupport. Demonstrating of appropriate application of Management Specifications in coherence with ECSS. Review of contractors PARAMS plans, specifications and effort proposed for the execution of the OLS and GS PAS projects preparing the arrangement for approval of PAS documents engaging ESA responsibility. Guiding and monitoring the implementation of PAS requirements by contractors including NCR Waivers Problems Critical Items and systematically tracking all items in order to assess performanceeffectiveness. Participation in design, acceptance TRR, TRB and safety reviews and directing the necessary preventive or corrective actions. Representing ESA in the Boards established within the projects for the disposition of Nonconformances Failure Reviews, MRB, Acceptance Reviews, Test Reviews, etc. Reporting project PA status deviations from plan schedule of all of above to the project Management and the Ariane PA and Safety Manager. Organizing with the support of CNES support Quality and Maintenance audits as necessary. Supporting project for development reviews preparation and follow up organization of documentation key points, participation in Project review as Quality animator. Establishing quality status reports, reporting on PAquality issues as Anomalies, Waivers, Alerts, giving confidence of their proper treatment, monitoring reporting on the Critical items safety issues. Responsible for project RAMS management activities status. Organizing with the support of CNES support Quality and Maintenance audits as necessary. Establishing monthly Product Assurance and Safety synthesis in close cooperation with the PAM and with PA Safety support RAMS, technologies. Other tasks in the PAS domain maybe required based on project needs. The tasks may require frequent missions in Europe and in French Guyana. Specific Requirements o Minimum of 6 years experience in Product Assurance and Quality Assurance in the aerospace domain. o Good interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment. o Knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001 would be an asset. Knowledge of the ESA NCTS NonConformance Tracking System application. Good knowledge of the English language.

Job Overview Contribute to establishing project specific programmatic and technical dependability and safety requirements within the framework of the ESA Product Assurance Safety baseline. Support to projects in the evaluation and monitoring of Contractors plans, technical specifications and efforts proposed for the execution of the dependability and safety programs. Evaluation of dependability and safety analyses, technical notes, technical risk assessments, risk reduction processes and the associated preventive or corrective actions. Defining and controlling the implementation of the applicable dependability and safety related acceptance requirements including risk acceptance criteria. Support dependability and safety verification activities, including hazard closeout and disposition of related NCR, RFW and Critical Items. Participating in project reviews to assess compliance with the applicable RAMS requirements and to formulate acceptreject recommendations. Support to EGNOS Product Assurance Safety Manager. implementation of general programmatic and technical dependability and safety assurance requirements in relation to ESA standards and specifications support to projects in the monitoring of the performance of the Contractors dependability and safety assurance programs to assure their compliance with the applicable requirements, and directing and controlling risk reduction processes and any necessary preventive and corrective actions evaluation of proposed concepts, designs and operations for compliance with defined dependability and safety requirements liaising with software product assurance and software engineering on related matters supporting research and study activities in the fields of dependability and safety requirements, techniques, tools and integrated engineering process methodologies and risk management methods. Specific Requirements At least five years relevant experience of application of RAMS engineering to space programs, especially in ground andor ground based systems. A handson knowledge of the RAMS analyses and methodologies Hardware and Software, preparation of relevant RAMS documentation during the overall project lifecycle and application of ECSS dependability and safety standards. Experience in dependability and safety engineering management processes and objectives and experience during operations is an advantage. Knowledge of RTCADO178C Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification and related certification schemes, and experience in interfacing certification authorities is considered an asset. Knowledge of EU Safety Directive as Directive 9837EC Machinery, Directive 9992EC Risk from Explosive Atmospheres, Directive 9723EC Pressure Equipment and the other safety directives relevant for space. Familiarity with space product assurance practices together with a good working knowledge of appropriate RAMS tools is an advantage. Knowledge of Civil Aviation standards DO178. DO278, DO254, as well experience in certification processes Knowledge and experience in the fields of Global Navigation Satellite Systems Knowledge in EASA CS and EC regulations for European Air Traffic Management Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment and have an attitude to cooperation and to accomplish solutions in line with team objectives.
