Iliad up to over 2.2 mln subs in Italy in Q3, contributes EUR 46 mln in revenue

(Telecompaper) France's Iliad said its newly-launched Italian venture delivered an "exceptional commercial performance" in the third quarter, with customer numbers rising to 2.23 million at the end of September from 1.5 million in early August. Iliad entered the Italian market as the country's fourth mobile network operator on 29 May and the new unit contributed a total of EUR 46 million to the parent company's revenues in the July to September period, nearly 4 percent of the group's total, adding to the EUR 9 million generated in its first month of activity.

DISH TV down 367k; Sling TV up 26k subs in 3Q 2018

DISH Network (NASDAQ: DISH) has reported results for the quarter ending September 30, 2018. The company closed the quarter with 10.286 million DISH TV subscribers and 2.370 million Sling TV subscribers.

AT&T US down 297k; Vrio down 73k video subs in 3Q 2018

AT&T (NYSE:T) has reported results for the third quarter of 2018. Total U.S. video subscribers declined by 297,000 in the quarter as DIRECTV NOW subscriber additions partially offset linear video declines. For Vrio, gains in Brazil were offset by losses in other regions.

U.S. vMVPDs added 868k subscribers in 2Q 2018 but overall pay TV subs fell

Strategy Analytics analysis of U.S. pay TV subscriber numbers shows vMVPDs with 868K net adds in 2Q 2018 bringing the total number of vMVPD subscribers to 6.73M, up 119% YoY. Despite this, overall pay TV subscribers fell to 93.78M.

CBS raises OTT subscriber targets, sees 16 mln subs by 2022

(Telecompaper) US broadcaster CBS has raised its subscriber target for its over-the-top streaming services. The company said the services CBS All Access and Showtime OTT are "greatly exceeding our expectations" and should reach 8 million subscribers in 2019, a year earlier than planned. By 2022, the company targets 16 million subscribers for the services in the US.
