Helsinki, Finland, 2014-10-09 09:00 CEST -- STORA ENSO OYJ STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 9 October 2014 at 10.00 EET As earlier communicated, Stora Enso signed an agreement in May 2014 to divest its Uetersen specialty and coated fine paper mill in Germany to Brigl & Bergmeister, an Austrian specialty paper producer. Stora Enso recorded a negative non-recurring item of approximately EUR 34 million related to the planned disposal in the second quarter 2014 operating profit.

Stora Enso resumes production at its Imatra complex, will take one week downtime at its Skoghall mill to implement its Pulp Mill Improvement project The Imatra complex,which comprises the Kaukopaa and Tainionkoski mills and has a capacity of more than one million tonnes/yr of cartonboard and specialty packaging paper, was stopped from September 21 to 29 in order to conduct some maintenance work. PMI project on track: Stora Enso will also stop production at its Skoghall mill in Sweden on week 43 in order to carry out the installations related to the "Pulp Mill Improvement" investment project.
