Some additional development of this system is possible later today or tonight before environmental conditions become less conducive over the weekend while the system moves toward the west-northwest at 10 to 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent. A tropical wave located more than 1500 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing disorganized cloudiness and showers. A tropical wave located nearly 1000 miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands continues to produce a small area of showers and thunderstorms. Some development of the wave is possible during the next day or so while it moves westward at 15 to 20 mph.
