Development Engineer Mechanical Design Key Tasks and Responsibilities As Development Engineer Mechanical Design, you will have the following responsibilities Mechanical configuration of satellites, payloads and mechanisms Development of mechanical designs for satellites and instrument structures Development of lightweight structure designs in particular highly stable structures employing new design concepts and materials such as fibrereinforced composites and ceramics Development and documentation of mechanical designs under consideration of functional, material and manufacturing requirements and constraints Generation of product definition drawings and documentation for bids and projects. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering or another relevant discipline Detailed knowledge of MSOffice and Catia V5 Several years of experiences in engineering and composite are required Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Coordination and cooperation with other technical departments i.e. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, AIT regarding harness designs. To incorporate new information regarding plugs, cable types and connection data in a harness database i.e. Aucotec Engineering base. Conception and execution of typical harness design analysis voltage drop, worst case, derating. Your qualifications Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualifications. High experience in aerospace related processes and knowledge of the quality standards defined by ECSS or MIL applicable for harness engineeringdesign. Experience with harness databases i.e. Aucotec harness tool Engineering base. Experience with MS Project for resource planning and progress tracking. At least three years of experience in the field of harness engineering in the space industry. Welldeveloped communication skills, used to work in a team. Ability to work under pressure. Fluency in written and spoken English and German.
