Tracy Murrell, former chief safety officer for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., will begin her job as director of NTSB's Office of Marine Safety on January 22. NTSB Chairman Deborah A.P. Hersman called Murrell "an accomplished leader with more than 20 years of experience in the maritime safety industry" and noted her "proven track record of achieving safety results."
