Corning Rising: Cuts Display Glass View on TVs, Sees Stronger Comms Sales

Shares of Corning are up 30 cents, or 1.6%, in early trading after the company this morning reported Q2 revenue that missed analysts' expectations, but beat by a penny on the bottom line, and cut its outlook for computer panel and TV panel glass demand, saying weakness will last the rest of the year. Revenue in the three months ended in June were roughly flat with the prior-year period to $2.52 billion, yielding EPS of 38 cents.
