Engineer, Digital Workplace Luxembourg Betzdorf ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The position is responsible for all client SCM design, planning, deployment, management and maintenance tasks including Client Operating Systems, Definitive Medial Libraries, thirdparty softwares, patches, firmwares including hardware and software drivers management and deployment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Maintain an always uptodate and accurate corporate Digital Workspace environment deployment including but not limited to Window 10 desktop environments. Coordinate with our vendors, suppliers, services and SES departments to ensure a correct worldwide delivery and maintenance is being guaranteed Manage the application packaging and software deployment for Windows clients and thirdparty software Provide assistance on application packaging and deployment to nonWindows devices Configure, update and verify the accuracy of the corporate Definitive Media Library 700 SW packages Define and execute appropriate test plans and quality assurance for software packages and client operating systems Implement changes for image, drivers, firmwares including software deployment and DML following the corporate ITIL compliant Change Management process Troubleshoot any problem in relation to the O.S. and software deployments on corporate managed client systems and define appropriate remediation solutions Identify risks and impacts assessment of O.S. and software delivery Keep up to date with software vendors ensuring updates and security fixes are applied in a timely and efficient manner Coordinate troubleshooting with other IT or nonIT departments andor 3rd party stakeholders vendors, clients, distributors, manufacturers, software editors Design, management and constant improvement of the automated software deployment infrastructure, tools and processes Act as backup for Client Operating System and Software Patch Management Digital Workplace client policies administration GPO andor others Oncall duties as required NB The team responsible for Digital Workspace Experience software delivery is to backup each others tasks must be able to perform each others tasks. COMPETENCIES Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Good written and verbal communication skills Openness for new technologies and readiness for change Collaborative, quality and user experience driven mind Stress resistant and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time Ability to work autonomously and effectively with others towards achieving common goals Detail oriented with a proven ability to selfmotivate and followthrough on tasks Results oriented with a pragmatic approach Eagerness to integrate a highly international and multicultural working environment Ability to effectively interact with all IT, business and 3rd party stakeholders Good knowledge of ITIL processes QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Minimum Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Three to five years of proven working experience in a company with central Computer management and Software deployment Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Client systems Windows 10 Excellent knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365 and thirdparty Software deployment Ability to design and implement Windows client SCM within accepted corporate guidelines Experience in the implementation, administration and configuration of Windows Client SCM Experience in automatic Software deployment and patch management via ITSM Solution Experience in managing a Definitive Software Library Ability to define and execute appropriate test plans and scenarios Good scripting knowledge Javascript, VB, PowerShell, cmd, etc. Good knowledge of Symantec Altiris is a prerequisite Good knowledge of Mobile Device Management platforms is an added value VMWare AirWatchWorkspace One, Intune, MobileIron, others Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL is a plus General knowledge of AdminStudio is a plus General knowledge of IT environments Virtual machines, Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset Willingness to travel internationally 1 OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS COMMENTS Microsoft Certifications are an advantage SES is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer Whats in it for you?
