Volkswagen's woes continue, this time on two fronts. The company has recalled its e-Golf electric vehicle to fix a battery software issue, and the FTC has filed suit against the German company for numerous incidents of deceptive advertising related to its diesel engine problems.

BART WiFi provider sues agency claiming breach of contract

A company contracted to provide BART passengers with wireless Internet is suing the transit agency for breach of contract, claiming BART cost them $7 million when it pulled out of a 20-year deal in 2014. In the lawsuit filed Friday in Alameda County Superior Court, attorneys for WiFi Rail Inc. argue the Oakland-based company spent millions of dollars developing infrastructure to deliver WiFi on BART trains and in stations but the cables and other equipment was disrupted by BART employees.

Soccer legend Pele sues Samsung over image in newspaper ad

Brazilian soccer legend Pele has sued Samsung Electronics Co for at least $30 million, claiming that the Korean company improperly used a look-alike in an advertisement that ran in the New York Times without permission. According to the complaint filed this month in federal court in Chicago, Samsung placed the October ad for ultra high-definition televisions after breaking off negotiations in 2013 to use Pele's identity to promote its products.
