St. Charles assault victim says repairman's past not checked

A sexual assault victim is suing three companies, claiming that her assault by a cable repairman could have been prevented if better background checks had been performed. The woman's attorney, Adam Goffstein, claims that Charter Communications and two of its subcontractors, Broadband Infrastructure Connection and Communications Unlimited Contracting Services Inc., would have learned that Hederle fabricated his previous job experiences had they checked with previous employers or personal references before hiring him.
