Mobistar ends distribution at Phone House

2014-09-25 14:01:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Mobistar is ending its distribution agreement with The Phone House when it expires 30 September. This follows the acquisition of the Belgian Phone House chain by rival Belgacom in 2012. Mobistar has worked with The Phone House since 1998, but it said sales of its products at the shops have fallen sharply since the Belgacom takeover. To replace the sales capacity, Mobistar has been expanding its agreements with other retailers, such as Carrefour and Media Markt, which represent around 50 sales points. The operator also has its own chain of 150 Mobistar Centers.
