Job description ESA EGNOS project office is interested in obtaining additional support and expertise in the area of GNSS and SBAS Tools processing to support ESA EGNOS Project Office from Q3 of 2018. Therefore we are seeking to recruit an experienced GNSS and SBAS Tools Support Engineer in Toulouse, France. Responsibilities You will be assigned to ESAs EGNOS Project Office within the Directorate of the Galileo Programme and Navigationrelated Activities. The general responsibilities of the service will be technical support in the area of GNSS and SBAS tools environment development, sign, in particular for ionosphere effects on GNSS signals and associated SBAS processing. Specific tasks will include Task 1 Engineering support to the coordination and critical assessment of all propagation and associated design related issues within EGNOS Project Office including algorithm assessment and recommendations Task 2 Engineering Support to the management and critical assessment of internal configuration of simulation tools Task 3 Engineering Support to the management of the EGNOS Project Office System Performance Tools Roadmap, Task 4 Engineering Support to the management of several RD projects related to GNSS SIS monitoring and EGNOS SIS Threat analysis and characterisation. Task 5 Engineering Support to the preparation and validation of System Performancerelated Customer Furnished Items and delivery to EGNOS V2V3Evolutions Contractors e.g. representative rawdata generated scenarios, generation of amplitude and phase scintillation models Task 6 Engineering Support to System Performance Engineering analyses based on simulations Task 7 Engineering Support to the coordination with respect to System Performance Tools related subjects modelling of the System environment and GNSS propagation signals using stateof theart software tools and databases modelling of ionospheric propagation conditions and their effects on SBAS satellite navigation missions Task 8 Support the definition of campaigns to serve RD and other EGNOS project needs e.g. for scintillation monitoring and GNSS SIS threat monitoring. Task 9 Engineering Support to the review of Industry performance related technical documents Task 10 Participation and contribution to multimodal e.g. Aviation, Maritime GNSS standardisation groups for what concerns System Performance modelling and processing Task 11 Engineering support to several projects, the service provider will attend project reviews for EGNOS e.g. V2V3 system and subsystem reviews at algorithm level Task 12 Support the System Engineering Requirements Management processes This is a full time position located at Toulouse, France. The requested start of work is July 2018. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate will have Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, physics or Computer science with proven knowledge and experience in the fields of Algorithms, Navigation and related data. Knowledge and experience in EGNOS System environment modelling and performance related tools e.g. RDG, Ionospheric AzSTEC converters, Knowledge and experience in EGNOS SIS Threat modelling and characterisation Knowledge and experience in EGNOS system performance related design justification Knowledge and experience in the analysis, architecture and development of softwarebased solutions, Knowledge and experience in Python, Java, C and Shell scriptingprogramming, Knowledge and experience in GNSS signals, receivers and RD projects, Knowledge and experience in JIRA software, Knowledge and experience in Git version control system, Knowledge and experience in UNIXLinux operating systems, Experience in virtualization technology, Experiences in procurement of industrial activities.
