Discovery Semiconductors has unveiled a wideband RF amplifier that operates from 30 kHz to 45 GHz. An optional integrated bias tee is available to set and control the bias current operating point of 25-Gbps/40-Gbps VCSEL transmitters. Additional applications include bit-error ratio (BER) and impulse response measurements.
VCO features phase noise of -117 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz.

Designed to operate from 390–440 MHz with tuning voltage of 0.5–5 Vdc, Model CRO0419A-LF features typical tuning sensitivity of 17 MHz/V. RoHS-compliant device provides output power of -4.0 dBm into 50 Ω load while operating off 5 Vdc supply and drawing 40 mA over temperature range of -30 to 70°C. Housed in MINI-16-SM package measuring 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.22 in., oscillator features typical second harmonic suppression of -15 dBc and is suited for P25 mobile radios and basestation equipment.
