Job description For our customer, EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany, we are seeking an experienced MTG Monitoring Control Subsystem Engineer. The Meteosat Third Generation MTG programme, led by the Geostationary Programmes Division GEO within the Programme Development Department PRD, performs the MTG preparatory activities in cooperation with the European Space Agency ESA. The programme should guarantee access to geostationary satellitebased meteorological data until at least the late 2030s. You will support the Geostationary Orbit GEO Division providing support to the Mission Operations System team. Responsibilities Typical activities to be undertaken are Support to the maintenance of MTG Mission Operations Facility requirement specification in the area of Monitoring Control System and liaison with the operational users for the definition of the requirements baseline Follow up the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem MCS procurement to make sure that the delivery fits the intended purpose Support the MTG ground segment team, the Mission Operations Facility manager and the ground segment manager Interact with suppliers and partner organisations Participation to the Reviews for the Monitoring and Control Subsystem and interfacing facilities Participation test conduction and or witnessing to MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem facilities testing and related activities on facility as well as on system level Analysis of test results and test reports on facility as well as on system level in particular with respect to their suitability for requirement verification and validation Track the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem test results, test reports and requirement verification status Installation of the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem at EUMETSAT, while fulfilling the configuration management requirements.
