New motor vehicle sales in Saskatchewan totalled 5,323 units in July, down 8.6 per cent from 5,822 in July 2014, according to data released by Statistics Canada on Tuesday. This brings sales in the first seven months to 31,905, down 5.1 per cent from the same period in 2014.

Newsweek: Fifty million refugees fleeing hunger and poverty could be created in the next 10 years unless the world's land degradation crisis is addressed, according to a new U.N.-backed report. The report, titled The Value of Land, estimates that between $6.3 trillion and $10.6 trillion worth of resourcesincluding agricultural products, soil quality and benefits in tackling climate changeare lost each year due to land degradation.
