TE Connectivity has taken this particular route with their dancing velociraptor as you can see in the video above, where it throws down on the stage with other humans, not seemingly intending to eat them, but instead it does show a certain degree of affection for its food. TE Connectivity basically offers solutions engineering, and I would like to think that this particular robot velociraptor is one way the companies shows off how it helps to decrease everything in size, weight and complexity, helping to save time as well as cost of installation along the way.

Ubuntu's latest desktop OS release, Ubuntu 13.10, is more of a plain-Jane release than its "Saucy Salamander" nickname might otherwise suggest. This release comes six months after the Raring Ringtail version, which was also a bit of a yawner in terms of offering any must-have-the-upgrade enthusiasm. Like the last release, Ubuntu 13.10 also does not deliver much "wow."
