Exxon Mobil said Friday that it will wind down a drilling project in Russia in compliance with U.S. sanctions, but said it received a license to keep working beyond the sanctions' deadline in order to complete the work. U.S. sanctions against Russia over its involvement in the Ukraine require the removal of U.S. workers on projects in the Russian Arctic and other select locations by September 26. Exxon is drilling an exploratory well in the Kara Sea in the Russian Arctic, and had planned to stop drilling in October in order to remove equipment and personnel before winter set in.

A reminder that Canadian National Railway will be renewing the Collins Street grade crossing, just south of Cleveland Avenue in Joliet. A complete road closure will bgin at 8 AM Monday, and run through 4 PM on Friday the 26th.
SW 4th Avenue to close to all motorized traffic Friday, Sept. 19 at 9:00AM. Will reopen Monday, Sept. 22 at 6:00AM.

The Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that Portland Streetcar construction work will close SW 4th Avenue at Harrison to all motorized traffic beginning at 9:00 AM on Friday, Sept. 19. SW 4th Avenue will remain closed through the weekend and will reopen by 6:00 AM on Monday, Sept. 22.
