Ground Stations Engineer MF Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. This is an opportunity for a graduated engineer with at least 3 years experience in Ground Stations systems engineering for LEO missions. This position is based in Germany, Darmstadt. The Key Person shall provide support to the EPSSG GS requirements analysis, architecture design and requirement implementation of the GS ground stations as part of the EPSSG System. The duties range from the analysis, design, installation, and testing of the ground stations. This may include support to the procurement of hardware and software, and the coordination with external service providers. The tasks will nominally cover the entire development lifecycle. RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES In particular during the initial phase the tasks will include Support to the generation of ground stations related EPSSG concepts, requirements and design documentation at the Architectural Design Level Identifying and translating the relevant EPSSG usersystemground segment level requirements into specific ground stations system requirements Provide support covering all aspects of the EPSSG ground stations specification and design Provide support covering the link budgets of the EPSSG programme Contribute to the definition of the ground segment data flows regarding the interfaces between the ground stations and the rest of the EPSSG ground segment andor satellites from a system engineering point of view Contribute to the preparation of the EPSSG Validation and Verification VV activities in the area of ground stations and the generation of the initial Acceptance Plan In the performance of these tasks, the Key person shall apply the relevant system engineering standards, quality management procedures and maintenance procedures. The Key person is expected to write and review requirement specifications and change proposals, prepare procurements, participate in technical inspections and reviews, document the communication and network architecture system design and write evaluation reports, review reports, test reports and overall status reports. QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE The Key person shall have a university degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline relevant to the job profile together with the experience and capability to fulfill the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision. VN1411 Driving engineering activity for Ground Stations for Low Earth Orbit missions, you will support preparation and implementation of future satellite programmes.
