Swisscom starts low-cost Wingo brand for the digitally savvy
2015-04-01 11:47:00| Telecompaper Headlines
(Telecompaper) Swisscom has launched Wingo, a brand for digitally savvy customers, usually younger and urban clients who know what they do and do not want. The service will provide individualised products stripped down to the essentials, at a highly affordable prices. Communication with customers, ordering subscriptions and support will only be offered online. Subscriptions will be tailored specifically to the target group. The fixed network offering will only be available in areas where customers have been supplied with Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH), so as to minimise technical complexity. Prices will be kept low as Wingo dispenses with the usual supplementary Swisscom services such as shops and free hotline. Swisscom hopes the new brand will attract residential customers that existing offerings have not been able to reach.
