Revenue from its cable business was up 6.0 percent year-on-year in Q2 to USD 12.4 billion, helped by the customer growth, upgrades to higher tiers and price increases. Operating cash flow increased a slower 5.7 percent to USD 5.0 billion, after a 6.2 percent rise in operating costs due mainly to higher content costs, as well as spending to improve customer service and boost marketing and support services for rolling out new equipment such as the X1 platform and cloud DVR.
