Vodafone NL introduces OTT service TV Anywhere

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Netherlands has launched OTT TV service TV Anywhere. For EUR 4.95 per month, users can watch TV via mobile phone or tablet, even if they do not have a fixed subscription. Vodafone NL customers will be able to watch TV anywhere in the Netherlands via the TV Anywhere App, available for both iOS and Android. The app will only be available for Vodafone NL customers. Both Vodafone Thuis (Home) and mobile subscribers will be able to access the new service.

Vodafone Ireland sets up European sales centre

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Ireland plans to set up a new European sales centre located in Carrickmines in Dublin. The investment of EUR 60 million will result in the creation of 200 new permanent jobs. The new 'Vodafone Red Edge' centre will provide specialist sales capability to support business customers in Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands. The investment is supported by IDA Ireland. Vodafone has committed to a 5-year EUR 60 million investment following a successful pilot scheme. Carrickmines will be the principal European location, with two additional support hubs located in Central and Southern Europe.
