BIO President and CEO Jim Greenwood recognized and thanked Committee on Energy and Commerce for its 21st Century Cures Initiative discussion draft, which intends to transform patient care by accelerating discovery, development, and delivery of next generation modern medicines. Greenwood noted several of BIO's suggestions within said draft and expressed support for provisions "intended to further incentivize biomedical innovation and help expedite the development of new treatments and cures."
