Ooredoo FY group revenue falls 2%, customers up 12%

(Telecompaper) Ooredoo group reported 2 percent slump in its revenue for the year ended 31 December 2014 to QAR 33.2 billion from QAR 33.85 billion in 2013, with strong performances in Qatar, Oman and Algeria offset by challenging market conditions in Iraq, Kuwait, Tunisia and Indonesia. Customer numbers increased by 12 percent to reach 107 million, driven by the Indonesian, Iraqi, Kuwaiti, Myanmar and Algerian markets.

Competition between Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines got a little more intense on Friday when Alaska announced a new route between San Diego and Kona, the largest of the Hawaiian islands. The news comes just weeks after Delta announced it was increasing its number of routes to Hawaii, including a flight between Sea-Tac Airport and Kona.

The City of Buffalo has set a March 31 deadline for retailers looking to participate in this springs's "Queen City Pop Up" initiative. Following the success of the first "Queen City Pop Up," held in December in donated space inside the Market Arcade complex, Buffalo leaders have secured donated retail space in the historic Pierce Building - located almost across from Shea's Performing Arts Center - for the spring edition.
