Cambodian apparel exports have begun to feel the negative impact of the EU's threat to withdraw their duty-free access. Although the decision, if confirmed, will not be effective before August 2020, European buyers have anticipated the possible end of the preferential treatment. Indonesia Apparel Exports in 1st Quarter 2019 (Quarterly Report)

Indonesian apparel exports have again suffered from the rise of labor costs in the country, in the first quarter of 2019. A rebound in exports to the US market has been short-lived, whereas sales to the European markets, Japan and South Korea have stagnated. Shipments to China are this year rocketing, however from a small level.
