Service removes need for VPN tunnels and dedicated repositories; backups take place over SSL-encrypted connection and cloud gateway. Users can recover entire servers or individual data objects directly from cloud, without downloading large backup files. In addition, users can accelerate cloud backups using Veeam's built-in WAN acceleration.

NTSB issues recommendations to address smoke in tunnels.

NTSB issued urgent recommendations to the Federal Transit Administration, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, and American Public Transportation Association calling for improved ventilation procedures during smoke and fire events in tunnels. NTSB is recommending nationwide audit of transit agencies by FTA to assess state of tunnel ventilation systems, written emergency procedures for fire and smoke events, and training to ensure compliance with these procedures.
