NREL Collaboration boosts CdTe solar cell potenial.

Scientists at NREL collaborated with researchers at Washington State University and University of Tennessee to improve max voltage available from cadmium telluride (CdTe) solar cell. Their research appears in Nature Energy journal article, "CdTe solar cells with open-circuit voltage breaking the 1 V barrier." This research helps provide path for solar energy being able to compete directly with electricity generated by conventional energy sources.
