Bouygues Telecom, Axione, Mirova forge investment partnership for FTTH roll-out in French urban areas

(Telecompaper) Bouygues subsidiary Axione has strengthened its ties with investment firm Mirova to create CityFast, a new company that will bring FTTH connectivity to 3.4 million French premises in very densely populated areas. The venture has secured a tender from Bouygues Telecom, creating a new business model under which the operator transfers its existing FTTH infrastructure to CityFast and gains rights to use CityFast's network for 30 years.

Bouygues Telecom posts 20% EBITDA growth in Q3

(Telecompaper) French operator Bouygues Telecom continued to post healthy growth in revenues and EBITDA in the three months to September, supported by a growing customer base across its fixed and mobile businesses. Service revenues increased to EUR 1.1 billion, up 5.0 percent year-on-year (+4.8% in Q2), and EBITDA jumped 20.1 percent to EUR 382 million (+11.4% in Q2).
