Responsibilities Duties Tasks Our subsidiary CS GmbH, located in Darmstadt, is looking for a Project ManagerTechnical Leader. The activity will be performed at CS GmbH premises at Darmstadt. The key person will integrate the backoffice to manage a team of software engineers ensuring the development and maintenance of space softwaresystems. The selected candidate will report directly to the project director of CS GmbH. This activity includes, among others, the following tasks Management of the project team Followup of activities and anticipate needs Reporting to the team and management Monthly accounting reporting to the management Support to technical meetings with customers Mandatory skills background You will have M.Sc. in Computer Science Engineer, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent. You will also be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of demonstrated handson experience in Project Management disciplines i.e. risk management, action control, reporting, planning Development life cycle systems engineering You will have a strong technical background in the space domain and Ground Segment software with experience in software development or maintenance in the space environment for ESA andor EUMETSAT In addition you will Be fully proficient in business English Have a sound knowledge of related QA processes and procedures, preferably applied in space projects ECSS Have good office computing skills and handson experience in using the MS Office Suite Have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interface efficiently with both the management and technical level Have the ability to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner and be able to work calmly and correctly under stress Be able to draft concise management reports and executive level presentations in English and the capability and experience to fulfil the assigned support tasks with a minimum of supervision Have experience of working on a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. Be organised and able to work autonomously in a challenging environment Direct experience of project management and scheduling for spaceground segment development or operations and with the ECSS lifecycle or equivalent will be considered as an advantage We look forward to hearing from you!

Capture and analyse functional and nonfunctional requirements. Define models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions. Acting as technical interface between customer management of needs expectations and internal IM teams to manage dependencies ITSecurity rules, IM processes, BackOffice Operations, Infrastructure Network, etc. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Companys success, reputation and sustainable growth. Required skills Experience in modelbased Systems Engineering, which encompasses requirements engineering management, architecture modelling design, multidisciplinary engineering optimisation, integration, verification validation, coupling with distributed simulations, and transverse configuration management of Systems Engineering artefacts. Knowledge of the engineering processes ISO 15288 Requirements Engineering Management, Architecture Modelling, Functional Logical Physical Design, Integration, Verification Validation, MultiDisciplinary Engineering, Coupled Simulation Knowledge and experience in data lakes, interoperability standards incl. OSLC, connectivity between SE environments Communication skills and ability to work within a team with colleagues from Germany, France, UK and Spain Ability to abstract problems and issues in analytical way, Engineering knowledge with an understanding of the next generation of information system that will bring the engineering practices to a new era. Background in PLM, ALM andor Systems Engineering. Ready to overcome technical and environmental challenges and you like working collaboratively in an international context. Flight Software Functional Manager, Job Ref 894 Reports to Head of Electrical 1 OnBoard Data Handling, Flight Software Engineering Services Key Purpose of Job We are looking for a dynamic and motivated manager to lead the Flight Software Team both from a technicaldelivery perspective and also the pastoral care personal development of the team. The Flight Software Team is responsible for all software on the SSTL satellite, from the safety task running on the on board computers, to the embedded software in SSTL equipments. Responsible For Management and leadership the Flight Software team. Key Tasks Work with Business Line Directors and Engineering teams to define Business Line Roadmaps capturing the future capabilitiesproducts the company will need in order to remain competitive in the global market, and the technology required to deliver them. Provide technical input and leadership to bid and proposal activities. Work with Project Managers, Heads of Engineering and other managers, to identify and resolve any resource conflicts or problems before they impact upon project progress. Ensure that the teams current and forward planning of workload is fully scoped and managed. Proactively resolve issues such as resource limitations, potential resource clashes and identify skill gaps for future recruitment activities. Ensure the team have effective plans in place to deliver their work, to the appropriate quality level, within project budget and schedule constraints. Ensure that the team follow best practice in the execution of their work. Ensure team level policies and procedures are in place to allow consistent team output, in line with SSTL approach to Engineering. Ensure the team has the skills required to deliver current and future projects in line with the company strategy and vision, and there is a viable plan in place to retain and develop team members with a particular view to succession planning and single point failures. Develop, train and mentor team members ensuring annual appraisals are completed and personal development plans are in place.
