EU Clothing Imports in 3rd Quarter and January-September 2018: Origins (Statistical Report)
2018-11-21 20:25:48| EmergingTextiles.com
China's share of the European Union's clothing imports has sharply dropped in the third quarter of the year in volume terms, as Chinese unit prices were further soaring. Bangladesh has continued taking advantage of China's setback whereas the surge in shipments from Myanmar or Cambodia has followed the relocation of Chinese apparel industry to low-cost countries in Asia. Latest trends are reflected by our comprehensive review of 3rd quarter and January-September data per origin, from 2013-2018. A large number of statistical tables are published, with volume, value and unit value changes released in both euro and US$ terms. The full tables are also available for download.

2018-01-16 09:00:00| EmergingTextiles.com
Cambodia's apparel exports have continued climbing in the first three quarters of 2017. They are however expected slowing down in 2018, after minimum wages have been further raised and ahead of a potentially difficult political year. Sales to Japan have also begun stagnating in 2017 whereas rival Vietnam has continued taking shares of the US market to the detriment of neighboring Cambodia. Our statistical tables offer a comprehensive view of EU and US imports from Cambodia in the first quarter, with percentage changes being calculated in volume and value terms.
