Portland author and publisher Kevin Sampsell presents new collages in his show Rookie Season. Using material from vintage magazines and books as well as found notes and words from newspaper headlines, Sampsell (who also writes a collage column for The Rumpus) creates collages that reinvigorate alluring images of the past and makes them pop with a new sense of dark humor.
